Getting into this box is what's best for both of us. During your time in the box, you will learn so much, and yet experience so little. It's a wild ride, my friend, one well worth the time spent...and let's face it, you don't have much to do these days anyway.

Fools and their ivory towers...

Ye gods, if I ever doubted that The Cathedral has their own missionary outpost in Singapore (not that I ever did), I'm not now:

From The Real Singapore:
Singapore has about 12,000 abortions a year, due in part to single mothers fearing the social stigma that comes with raising a child in such circumstances.

But had those babies not been aborted because single mothers are more socially accepted here, they would have been able to add to the country's population, argued Professor Chua Beng Huat, a sociologist with the National University of Singapore.

Noting that current legislation places barriers on single mothers, he said yesterday: "Why should they be discriminated against? The rules are stacked against single mothers so badly. Allow them to have all the privileges of a married woman."
I took a sociology module once at my university, for the breadth credits (wow, holistic educations). It was full of the usual tripe, when I look back at it. Even an undergrad student in chemical engineering can spot the gaping holes in this claim. The first being that these babies would have grown up to be productive citizens. But let's see how well that worked out for the West, shall we?

*Children from single mother homes are 5X more likely to be unemployed & 3X more likely to get involved in crime.
*80% of all social housing is for single parent families.
*Family breakdown costs the taxpayer at least 15 billion pounds per year.”–UK stats from “Geldof On Fathers”.
*63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes (US Dept. Of Health/Census) – 5 times the average.
*90% of all homeless & runaway children are from fatherless homes – 32X the average.
*85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes – 20X the average. (Center for Disease Control)
*80% of rapists w/ anger problems come from fatherless homes –14X the average. (Justice & Behavior, Vol 14, p. 403-26)
*71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes – 9X the average. (National Principals Association Report)
*75% of all adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers come from fatherless homes – 10X the average. (Rainbows for All God’s Children)
*70% of youths in state-operated institutions come from fatherless homes – 9X the average. (U.S. Dept. of Justice, Sept. 1988)
*85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes – 20X the average. (Fulton Co. Georgia, Texas Dept. of Correction)

Do you want this, you stupid ivory-towered academic? Do you really want all this to come to Singapore, which is already crumbling and its people miserable under the atomisation of people and destruction of society?

Enabling single motherhood will not create happy, productive citizens. It will create miserable drains on society. Yeah, someone was raised by a single mother and turned out just fine, I'm sure, but we're talking averages here, not anecdotes. Leykis clause and all that.

I can't help but wonder if he's malicious or just stupid. By the by, massive government cheese for black women in the US hasn't stopped them from murdering 30% of all their babies, so I think our dear professor can quash that stupid little claim.
He agreed with Professor Wolfgang Lutz, a European demographer, that Singapore should not be "too fixated" on the replacement total fertility rate (TFR) of 2.1. If Singapore works with the rate of 1.5 to 1.7 as suggested by Prof Lutz, it will still be economically healthy, Prof Chua said.

"We don't need to have a population of 6.9 million. We should rethink the idea of (the country's) dependency ratio and, from now until 2050, the status-quo birth rate is okay," he said.

The Government estimated that the dependency ratio of working adults to seniors will fall to 2.1 in 2030, from 5.9 last year.
*Sigh* I should really stop reading things that get me all angry - especially when supposedly learned people make claims like these. Well, fine; I'm just waiting for the collapse here. Look, the solution to the problem is very, very simple:

1. Get rid of the worker drone merit badge mentality.
2. Shame the cock-loving hypergamous sluts of Singapore.

Ta-da! Much, much easier said than done, of course, and perhaps even impossible, so I'll just continue building myself up while waitng for the collapse.

Getting into my box now.
